BROWN KUESTER KAPP, JUDY MARIE      

Judy M. Kuester Kapp, 46, of Okomos, died Aug. 7 in an automobile accident along with her husband near Edmore, Mich.

A resident at Okemos for the last 15 years, she had attended the old one-room Norris School, Traverse City High School and Northwestern Michigan  College.  She then attended Michigan State University, where she earned a degree in interior design and business administration. She enjoyed ceramics,  arts and crafts and traveling.

Born July 15, 1947, in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of former Circuit Court Judge Charles L. and Philena A. (Rapson) Brown.  On Aug. 25, 1990, in Traverse City, she married Roy Kapp, who died Aug. 7, 1993.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by one son, Aric Tait Kuester of Traverse City; her father, Judge Charles L. Brown of Traverse City; eight stepchildren and several step-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 4 pm Saturday at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
