ROUNDTREE, RICHARD

Richard 'Rick' Lee Rountree, age 72, passed away on April 14, 2019, in Holland while surrounded by his loving family, including his three children, Rich, Rachelle and Ashley and their families. Rick was born in Topeka, Kansas, on Feb. 5, 1947.
He was married to the love of his life, Elaine Agnes Pleva Rountree, on May 21, 1977, who preceded him in death on April 27, 1997. Also preceding him in death was his twin brother, Larry Rountree; his brother, John David Domine; his father, Edward Orlando Rountree; and his mother, Maxine Leatha Kubesh Domine.
Rick is survived by his brother, Robert (Linda) Rountree; sister, Marcia (Patrick) Magee; brother, Mark Domine; his son, Richard (Jennifer) Rountree; daughter, Rachelle (Mark) Rokos; daughter, Ashley (Trevor) Hansen; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
All who knew Rick were aware of his love of golf. He was a longtime member of Interlochen Golf Club and even worked there for many years so he could always be at the course. You could count on Rick to gather friends and family to participate in numerous golf outings every year.
During his tenure at Carpenter Enterprises, Rick traveled the world over. He was able to visit South Africa, Japan, China, Indonesia, England, Mexico and so many more. He was also proud to have visited all 50 of the United States of America.
Rick was a longtime member of the Elks Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the American Military League and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Rick was a proud supporter of the U.S. military, as he himself proudly served in the United States Army.
Rick's family will miss his wicked sense of humor as he could always make people laugh with his crazy jokes and outrageous stories. His family and friends will miss him but are grateful that he is now reunited with his beautiful bride, Elaine.
Visitation will be at Covell Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18, from 10 am to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Committal will be at Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you consider donating to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Rick and Elaine Rountree.
