A big thank you to Sally SMITH Berlin, owner of Crystal Crate & Cargo in Beulah, for her generous donation to the Silent Auction. Sally donated a country look window box full of interesting and functional pieces of whiteware (white candy dish, white creamer, white parmesan cheese shaker, white everything!) with a retail value of $94.00. Plus, a hugh red and white enamel splatterware serving tray with kitchen linens all in a cherry theme with a retail value of $60.00. Thank you, Sally! You may want to take a drive to Beulah on beautiful Crystal Lake when you're back home for the reunion and visit Sally in her element at her lovely gift and gourmet shop.
I am wondering if there could be a way that I could donate time on Sunday, the day after the reunion, to do or be something for someone else. It's a bit strange, but all I have is myself so perhaps there is a way the silent auction could include us donating something, like a skill to the highest bidder. I could donate 2 or 3. one and a half hour, completely confidential, counseling sessions to 3 different people on Sunday if someone could donate a safe and quiet place where this could happen. II am coming in on Monday before the reunion, but I think the auction will be on Saturday night, right?
Maybe no body would want this, but that's why it is a silent auction. We could have it be fun or serious, whatever.
