Judi Lynn Shearer, 46, of Traverse City and a registered nurse at Munson Medical Center for many years, died Tuesday, December 29, 1992, at home.
She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and A.L.P.A.N. Â She earned an associates degree in nursing from Salem College, W.Va. Â She loved all sports and was an avid golfer and skier.
The daughter of Gordon and Wilma (Clark) Shearer, she was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Grayling. Â She was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and one uncle. Â Surviving are three brothers and their wives, Bill and Pat Shearer of Traverse City, Robert and Diane Shearer of Seattle, Wash., and her twin brother, Jon and Vicky Shearer of Ashland, Ohio, many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Pat Holcomb, two aunts and their husbands, Joy and Ken Wills of Traverse City and Phylis and Francis Convery, of Pennsylvania, and an uncle, Lee Putman of Flint.
A memorial service was held Saturday, January 2, 1993, at 11 a.m. at the Traverse City Chapel of the Covell Funeral Homes.  The Rev. John  Hice officiated.
Memorials were directed to the Junior Golf League, the A.L.S. Foundation, and the Cherryland Humane Society.
