Roy Gordon Dunham Jr., 21 of 630 East Eighth, Traverse City, drowned Sunday afternoon while scuba diving in Green Lake near Interlochen. Â Mr. Dunham was born October 1, 1946 at Cumberland, Md. and as a young child moved with his parents to Traverse City, where he had since resided. Â He was a 1965 graduate of TCHS and a registered male nurse graduate of Northwestern Michigan College, was an attendant to Traverse City State Hospital and also was associated with his father in the operation of a gasoline service station at Front and Division.
Surviving are: Â the widow, Shirley, a daughter, Dawn and a son, Scott, both at home, his parents of Traverse City; four brothers, Lee, Dennis, Darwyn and Craig, all of Traverse City; a sister, Sharon Dunham of Traverse City, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A sister and a brother preceded him in death. Â Funeral services for Mr. Dunham were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 1968, at Martinson Funeral Home in Traverse City, Rev. William Des Autels officiating with burial in the family lot in Oakwood Cemetery.
