Frank R. Giles, Jr, 54, of Kalkaska, died on Saturday, September 1, 2001, at McLaren Hospital in Flint. Â He was born on Nov. 6, 1946, to Francis and Elizabeth (Lardie) Giles, Sr. in Traverse City.
Frank lived in Kalkaska since 1990. He attended Michigan State University and obtained a short degree in his major Horticulture. Â He was employed by Beaver Log Homes as a mill hand. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed muscle and classic cars, and gardening. He was a good friend to everyone.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Glory of 17 years; sons, Chip (Kelly) Morgan of Winter Haven, Fla., David (Missy) Morgan of   Kalkaska; a granddaughter, Brittney Morgan of Winter Haven, Fla.; sisters, MaryJane (Louis) Hoolihan of Traverse City and Kathy (Ronald) Schwartz of Berne, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held September 4, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Kalkaska, with Pastor Matt Moser officiating. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska. Â Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund. Â
