GRUBBS, BARRY KENT

Barry Kent (Barney) Grubbs, 26, of Norton Road, Grawn, died suddenly October 12, 1974.  Born at Celina, Ohio, Oct. 15, 1947, he had been a resident of the Grand Traverse area since 1963 and was employed by the Wollam Carpet Co. for the last two years.  Surviving are his father, Edwin W. and stepmother, Edith K Grubbs, both of Van Wert, Ohio; two brothers, Gary D of Van Wert, Ohio, and James E. Grubbs of Traverse city, and several nephews.  His mother, Margaret Grubbs, preceded him in death in Aug. 1970.  

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 1974, at the Martinson Funeral Home, Traverse City, with Pastor Gordon G. Sanders of Bethany Baptist Church officiating.  Burial was in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.  Friends called at the funeral home where envelopes were available for memorials directed to Youth for Christ International.
