Linda L. Kaley, 65, of Winfield, Mo., formerly of Traverse City, passed away late Tuesday night, Aug. 7, 2012, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Â Born June 14, 1947, in Traverse City, she was the daughter of James Kenneth and Barbara Wilma McComb Kaley. Â She was a 1965 graduate of Traverse City High School. Â She worked for many years as a nanny. She also worked as a store clerk for Clothing Cove in Milford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Kaley and Barbara Smith; one brother, Bill Smith in 2005; and two sisters, Patricia Smith in infancy and Deanna Lile in 2011. Survivors include one sister, Judith Helmick and her husband, Roger, of Winfield, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Richard Lile, of Southbury, Conn.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; and many friends.
Graveside inurnment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City. Â Memorials may be made to the Winfield Residential Center in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, PO Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
