David Clayton Klingelsmith, 47, a lifetime resident of Traverse City, died Thursday, May 26, 1994, at work.
He was a sanitarian at Sara Lee Bakery.
A member of the U.S. Army Reserve, he was a union steward for the Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Workers Local No. 81, and served on the Plant Safety Committee and the Ergonomic Task Force.
He was born on April 19, 1947, the son of Bernard and Neoma (Towbridge) Klingelsmith. Â On Sept. 7, 1968, he married Barbara Irene Martin, who survives.
Also surviving are his parents, two daughters, Amy Klingelsmith and her fiance, Jeff Panek and Lori Klingelsmith, all of Traverse City; three brothers, Walt (Barbara), Gary and Jim Klingelsmith, all of Traverse City; two sisters, Linda Gasser of Traverse City and Barb (Tom) Castle of Maple City; his father-in-law, Ted Martin Of Traverse City; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Jim and Sue Martin of Traverse City and Bill and Linda Martin of Mulliken; several nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1st, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Grawn, the Rev. Jerry Micketti officiating.
Arranagments were handled by the Ruggles Funeral Home of Traverse City. Â
