William 'Bill' Moulton passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at his residence in Walker as the result of coronary heart failure.
   He was given the last rites of the church by Father John, Catholic Chaplain of Spectrum East Hospital.
   At the time of his death, Bill was a senior loan officer for Consolidation Mortgage Co. in Grand Rapids.
   He was a lifelong member of St. Francis Catholic Church and attended school there until his senior year when he transferred to Central High School where he graduated with honors. He attended Marquette University and the University of Texas and Grand Valley State University.
   His interest in books, history, the arts, writing, ancient coins and antiquities began at an early age. In later years he was recognized as an expert in those particular subjects. His photographic memory enabled him to retain information and have instant recall.
   Bill was active in politics all his life. He wrote extensively for the Libertarian newspaper and was also a staunch volunteer for the Republican party.
   Bill was born Sept. 8, 1947, at Munson Hospital in Traverse City. He was lovingly raised by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Moulton, his adoptive parents.
   Bill is survived by his birth mother, Barbara M. (Phillips) Martin of Traverse City; half sister, Mignon (LaGro) Benenati of Goshen, Ind.; half sister, Patricia (LaGro) Stouder of South Lyon; half brother, Louis Christopher LaGro of Elgin, Ill.; aunt, Shirley (Phillips) Midling of Oroville, Calif.; cousin, Philip C. Midling of Chico, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
   His parents and aunt, Marilyn Phillips Ison, preceded him in death.
