Sally L. (Pike) Hobbs, 40, died Sunday, February 28, 1988, at Munson Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of the Traverse City area. She graduated from Northwestern Michigan College School of Nursing and was employed at Munson Medical Center as a registered nurse. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Traverse City.
She was born Sept. 30, 1947, to Donald G. Pike and Lois Chapline. She married William J. Hobbs, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Steve Owens, a daughter, Melissa Owens; her mother Lois Chapline and her father and stepmother, Donald and Deloris Pike, all of Traverse City; two brothers, Jeff of Colorado and Randall of New York City; and two sisters, Jenny Pike of Traverse City and Cynthia Stewart of Phoenix, Ariz.
Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1st at the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes. Officiating was the Rev. Gary D. Hogue.
Memorials were directed to Michigan Diabetes Association.
