Gerald Lee 'Jerry' Bohn, 59, of Lake Worth, Fla., and Traverse City, died after a lengthy battle with cancer Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, surrounded by his loving family at Munson Hospice House.
¬† ¬† ¬†Born in Traverse City Jan. 2, 1945, Jerry was the son of Arnold George and Kathryn (Babel) Bohn. He was a graduate of Traverse City High School. Jerry worked as a construction worker and a landscaper, spending the last few summers at Mitchell Creek Golf Course in Traverse City.
¬† ¬† ¬†Jerry loved the beauty of Florida, where he found comfort in the sunshine and the blue of the ocean. He also enjoyed his blue-and-yellow companion parakeets.
¬† ¬† ¬†Jerry is survived by his parents, Arnie and Katie Bohn of Traverse City; two brothers, Richard (Marilyn) Bohn of Traverse City and Kenneth Bohn of Traverse City; a sister, Barbara (Daniel) Kipley of Traverse City; an aunt, Maxine (Ross) French of Grawn; an uncle, Robert Babel of Lake Worth, Fla., and Traverse City; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
¬† ¬† ¬†Burial was in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
