Accumulated Class Wisdom

We were the peak of the Baby Boom.  Throughout our lives and because of our sheer numbers, we strained the infrastructure and rattled the culture of America.  Now that we are older, we are redefining what it means to grow old... if that's what we decide to call  it.

With all these extra people with 40 years of life experience since high school, surely we must have a great deal of accumulated wisdom to share.

Use this thread to post your wise advice, favorite sayings, observations, complaints, etc.  Here's your chance to be Confucius, Yogi Berra, or Andy Rooney.

I'll start it off with...
On team sports:  Always know where your head is at.
On aging:  Tell your remaining stem cells were they're needed.
On life:  'Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans' --John Lennon

there is no way to avoid pain, although we sure have lots of ways of trying to

dissatisfaction is a daily part of being human

the more you try to squirm away , the tighter things get
